Ice and snow detectors, temperature controllers and temperature sensors, differential temperature controllers

The temperature controllers and temperature sensors of Klöpper-Therm are used in all electrical heating systems in which the temperatures of heated surfaces must be reliably measured and controlled with precision.

The two-point temperature controller types 1780 and 1793 detect the measuring point temperature using the connected temperature sensor and actuate the switching output in case the setpoint is undershot. With a switching hysteresis, the relay output is switched off again after the setpoint is reached. Type 1780-with a 2-digit, 7-segment display-also permits a forwarding of the alarm via a corresponding alarm coupler in case the temperature falls under +2°C and shows it on the display accordingly. Temperature controllers with an alarm output, switching status display, and sensor breakage and short circuit monitoring are suited for the sensor types of Series 31xx.

Ice and snow detector type 1773
Temperature controller type 1780
Temperature controller type 1793
Differential temperature controller type 1783
Temperature sensor with floor sleeve type 3352

Applications
Antifreeze protection heating systems and top concrete layer heating systems in freezer storage facilities and rooms

The two-point differential temperature controller type 1783 detects the measuring point temperatures using two connected sensors and shows the difference between the two sensor values on the 2-digit, 7-segment display. In case the set differential temperature is exceeded, the relay output is actuated. With a switching hysteresis, the relay output is switched off again after the differential setpoint is reached. Differential temperature controllers with a 7-segment display, switching status display, and sensor breakage and short circuit monitoring are suited for the sensor types of Series 31xx.

Applications
Wall and ceiling heating systems, -20 °C to +60 °C

Area of application

The digital ice and snow detector type 1773 with LCD, switching status display, and display of the remaining minimum heating time, detects ice and snow in good time using a moisture and temperature sensor. Through a timely activation of the heating system, the monitored surface is kept free of ice. Alternatively, a second
temperature sensor or, rather, moisture and temperature sensor, can be connected. Suited for moisture sensor types  3352, 3353, 3354, and 3355 and temperature sensors of Series 31xx.

Applications
External surface heating systems, e.g., for footpaths, stairways, traffic lanes, entry and exit ramps, bridges, roof gutters and downpipes, and roofs
